Location Scouting

We decided to plan out exactly where we were going to film our whole film opening. We have different locations within the film opening, this includes:

• Chelmsford Town Centre - High Street
• A house
• Boots
• Public Toilet

 We will be filming in Chelmsford Town Centre for a few of our scenes, mainly the scenes of the couple walking towards a shop and also one of the car parks in the near area.

The house is where the mum will be based throughout our whole film opening as this is where she lives with her family.

We will be filming some of the scenes in Boots because one of our characters will need to be seen in a pharmacy area.

Linking in with what they need to get in Boots, they will then need to be seen going into a toilet.




The reason as to why we have decided to organise our locations is because it will then be easier to have them prepared in advance as it will be more organised for us and also will hopefully be a lot quicker to film on the day as we then don't have to decide where to specifically film - we then have all that prepared and we can go straight to these locations.

The advantages of these locations are that they will be easy to find as they are central to where our group live. In addition to this, we also have back ups just in case some of these specific locations don't work.

The disadvantages for these locations is that we may not be allowed to film in there, for example Boots. If this happens then we can go to another shop (that is pharmacy based) and be able to film in there. This is the only disadvantage to our locations that we have scouted.
